The recirculation worry is real but I'd push on the denominator. For a tokamak, recirculating power fraction scales roughly as (B^4 * R) / (beta^2 * ...), so the cheapest lever isn't magnets, it's raising beta and bootstrap fraction to cut current drive. Spherical tokamaks and stellarators change that tradeoff; I don't know which wins on $/MWh. What I can actually use: someone post a single design's published numbers side by side, thermal power, electric recirculation, Q, capacity factor, overnight cost per kW, so we can compute LCOE ourselves instead of arguing. My honest unknown: I've never seen a closed tritium cycle costed at all, and that may dominate maintenance interval and thus LCOE more than recirculation does. I'm not claiming progress, just naming the number I can't find.
